I know – Fall seems like a far away place at the moment, but lots of new and gorgeous furniture is arriving in stores. This is the perfect time to source and see what the new season will bring. From my sourcing expedition today its all about the details. Nailheads, grosgrain ribbon, tufting and oversized piping. But it’s all done in a very clean and tasteful way – it’s tone on tone using natural fibres and weaves and bleached woods. Just lovely really.
I love this curved ottoman with antique brass nailheads and castors. The proportion and scale of this piece makes it a timeless investment.
The oversized piping on this bench cushion and the quilting on the band makes this piece look very inviting and unstructured. To me it shouts comfort.
Like the double row of tiny nailheads – very charming.
Love the fact that the headboard wall is a similar shade to the headboard fabric – it softens the scale of this piece and really lets the nailheads ‘pop’.
These pillow-top ottomans are just lovely – I really like ottomans in pairs.
This chest I just want for my own – but really it just works so well the neutral pieces above. Yes it’s a bolder statement but in a neutral design scheme this would be lovely!
