Fall is my most favourite time of year. I love this season for its rich colours and clear blue skies. To me it’s quite simply a perfect time. It’s almost like a pause, an intake of breath, as we all prepare for the winter season ahead.
For Thanksgiving this year we went to Nova Scotia to spend some time with friends. The weather was perfect. East of Antigonish there is a tiny Acadian community called Pomquet. The beach here is breathtaking. The pebbles found along the shoreline come in many colours – sage, terracotta, linen, graphite, heather…the shades are endless and yet they all work harmoniously together, something nature does extremely well.
