I am just back from a long weekend at High Point Market. This was the first time I’ve been to this market and it sure won’t be the last! Talk about inspiration overload.
I was very lucky to get an edited list of what to see from Lisa Ferguson There is over 11 million sq.ft. of showrooms, and without my list I don’t think I would have seen half of what I did. I spent half of my time attending seminars and product launches and the other half wandering the halls oohing and aahing at all the gorgeous stuff.
So what did I see – lots of navy & brass & Kelly green – a stunning combination. A return to bespoke lamp shades – so many patterned and trimmed shades – bye-bye plain linen for now. Turned legs and ribbon trim on furniture. Shagreen and linen wrapped casegoods.
I have posted on my Pinterest page a board dedicated to all my finds – but here is a quick snap shot to wet your appetite.
Layered Consoles by Bernhardt.
Quatrefoil, contrast piped stool with turned legs.
Ivory, beaded chandelier by Aerin Lauder.

The Woman Herself – ok I am a little obsessed. I did get my picture taken with her but it was really fuzzy and I look totally starstruck which let’s face it I was!
This is my most coveted piece from HPmkt. Its stunning and if I had a first-born I’d gladly give them up for this table and ottoman. Its art, sculpture and furniture all in one. Amazing product and really lovely guy – Tommy Mitchell. I must have one or at the very least find a client who wants one..
Gilded Books as art – very simple, very lovely.
